We want to help you book a great holiday today.
How to use us to compare holiday prices and find the best deal that suits you.
Compare holidays, get the right price
First of all decide on what type of holiday you want. Is it sun and surf, or exploring city museums, galleries, cafés ,night clubs, or an adventure holiday. Perhaps you are booking a special honeymoon escape or you fancy a cruise. If you are flying why not save on the cost of airport parking. Book your car parking space in advance and save.
We have divided the holiday deals into different types, so select the type you need and compare what is on offer. Take a note of the price and offer. Then try a DIY holiday and see if you can get a similar holiday for less. Use our flight search engine for the dates you used in the previous search and see what is on offer. Then go to our accommodation section and check out what is available at the destination of your choice. Then go to holiday transfers and compare the price of the airport transfers. You may prefer to hire a car for the duration of your holidays instead. You can compare the price of holiday car hire using our handy car hire widget.
When you have done all this, then add up all the prices to see does it beat the holiday price you got in your first search. Then go ahead and book your ideal holiday online knowing that you have the best value travel deal.
For added comfort, if you are flying, we recommend booking the airport lounge. It takes the tedium out of waiting.
If you are bringing a lot of luggage, you should compare the cost of using luggage mule against the cost of booking the luggage through the airline.
Have you sorted your debit cards?
What would you do if you had an accident or fell ill on holidays? For peace of mind compare holiday insurance. Most travellers save by not purchasing the insurance offered in the travel package and arranging it themselves. See what you can save.
The good news is that by doing all of this online from the comfort of your home or office you can save enough to give yourself a little treat and you get the peace of mind that comes from knowing your holiday is booked and you can look forward to it .
So get comparing now.
Bustling Bangkok
With a population of over 6 million, Bangkok is the bustling, cosmopolitan capital of Thailand. Known for its tropical weather, nightlife, unique cultural pastimes and both ancient temples and high-rise buildings, Bangkok is a city of excitement and contrasts.
Bangkok has a warm, tropical climate with constant year round temperatures ranging from about 22°C to 35°C. The rainy season starts during May and ends in October with September being the wettest month while the cool, dry season which is definitely the most pleasant time to visit starts in November and begins to fade away in February.
Home to hundreds of temples, Bangkok has much to offer in form of cultural exploration. Most of these historical sights are located on the island of Rattanakosin, which is often known as the Old City. Rattanakosin contains within it Bangkok's most popular tourist attraction, the Grand Palace. The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings that has been the official residence of the King of Thailand since 1782, although it is now used mostly for official events with the Monarch residing at Chitralada Palace for most of the year. The Palace is open every day from 08:30 to 16:30 and is a must see for any visitor to Bangkok.
One of Thailand's most famous sports that has grown increasingly popular in the west in recent years is Muay Thai, also known more informally as Thai boxing. As Thailand's national sport it is very much advised to see this great sport which can be done in two venues in Bangkok, Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Silom and Ratchadamnoen Stadium in Rattanakosin. This is without doubt a great way to spend an evening in Bangkok.
Bangkok has its own local film industry producing many internationally acclaimed films such as “Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior” and many English language films have also been filmed here like the comedy “The Hangover Part II”. Cinema tickets are cheap in Bangkok, usually costing around just 120 baht so put aside some time to enjoy this locally made entertainment.
Many festivals take place throughout the year in Bangkok with one of the most famous and peculiar being the traditional Thai new year which is known as the Songkran Festival. This festival takes place in mid April and never passes without notice. During the festival water is thrown from buckets and shot from toy water guns onto passers by. Don't think yourself exempt from this just because you're a tourist either as Thais are non-discriminatory in their celebrations.
Thai cuisine is famous around the world. Ranging from indulgent sweet deserts to spicy hot curries and even for the more adventurous palate, deep fried insects. Traditional Thai food is available throughout the city so there's no excuse for not trying it in your travels. Although a range of international cuisine is also available in many of Bangkoks tens of thousands of places to eat.
The modern capital of an ancient country, Bangkok is a world of its own you must explore to truly understand.

We have put together some tips to make travelling by ferry even easier, both on you and on your finances.
-
Start by comparing prices on ferries from Ireland. There are choices available and our price comparison tool can help you get the best deal.
-
Get good travel insurance. It brings peace of mind and helps sort out problems when a problem strikes. You should also bring your European Health Insurance Card. This covers the bare essentials, read about obtaining the EHIC here
- Make sure that you are fully insured. Check your vehicle insurance, compare caravan insurance and don't forget breakdown insurance.
- Consider using a prepaid money card, this can reduce the cost of foreign currency, and if stolen only the amount on the card is at risk.
-
Measure up. Know the dimensions of your vehicle and caravan/ trailer. The size includes any attachments which may be projecting, such as bike boxes or satellite dishes etc. You will need this information when booking your ferry journey.
-
Be time flexible. Some times and days can be cheaper than others. If you have to travel at a peak period, try reserving your place on the Ferry, well in advance of your travel date.
-
If you intend to bring your pet cat or dog with you on the ferry, check with the Ferry company about the rules relating to pets on board. Read our guide to pet passports. Schedule some time on the journey for seeing to the needs of your pet, eg. Food, water, exercise and more.
-
If you are travelling with young children, this can be both exciting and challenging. Advance planning is definitely the key to on board enjoyment. Pack a bag to bring with you while on the ferry. You know what essentials to pack, baby wipes and all. Have it unopened, in your vehicle, ready to take with you, so that when you leave your car in the lower decks, you do not have the worry of forgetting something. A ferry sailing offers a great opportunity to stretch legs and avail of on board entertainment and views from the deck. Be prepared for sea sickness, just in case. There are usually soft play areas, cinema zones, games, shops and lots more.
How does that compare to being stuck for hours on a long haul flight?
-
The advantages of no luggage restrictions can be truly appreciated when you are travelling with children. Take full advantage of it. Pack food for consumption on board, bring drinks, water is recommended. Remember, the water on board is usually non potable. It is OK for washing, but not for drinking.
-
If you have accessibility requirements, please contact the Ferry company in advance, so that you can book a parking place as near to the elevator as possible. Ask about accessible seating.
-
If travelling overnight, consider booking a cabin. That way you can have a shower and start the day refreshed and ready to enjoy another day of your vacation.
-
You will be advised of the end of your journey in plenty of time. When waiting in the vehicle deck, please do not start your engines until told to do so by a crew member. This helps to avoid the build up of fumes.
-
Enjoy the rest of your carcation.
Pulsating Prague
Lying in the heart of central Europe; the historic capital of Bohemia and the modern day capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, is home to ancient castles, many museums and vibrant nightlife. Although the city has been in existence for over a millennium it has not become stuck in its ways. Alongside buildings such as Prague Castle, the biggest ancient castle in the world occupying over 70,000 m2 , Prague also has some striking modern architecture such as the Dancing House which almost seems to defy physics in its appearance.
Prague has a pleasant, temperate climate with warm summers averaging around 20°C and chilly winters that can get as low as -2°C during January. Precipitation is low in Prague throughout the year although there can be some rain during the Summertime. In general Spring could be considered the best time to visit Prague as the weather is pleasant and the flora is blooming.
Czech is the official language of Prague and the Czech Republic although most young people will be able to speak English. English language menus will generally be available in restaurants although many police officers and people working in places such as train stations might not be able to speak English. Learning a few phrases of Czech, however bad your pronunciation will always be appreciated by the locals.
Visitors are advised to check out some of Prague's interesting museums. These range from art galleries like the National Gallery in Prague which is not a single building but a number of structures within the city, to museums detailing Prague's varied history such as the Prague City Museum which contains a detailed cardboard model of nineteenth century Prague by Anton Langweil and the Museum of Communism that shows how communism affected Czechoslovakia in the 20th century.
Prague is a great place to go shopping with many different shopping centres such as the OC Letňany which is the largest shopping centre in the Czech Republic and contains, as well as a very of shops, a cinema, an aqua centre and an ice rink. The official currency in the Czech Republic is the Czech Crown (koruna), abbreviated as Kč. Sometimes it can be possible to pay in Euros in hotels in the centre of Prague although this is not advised as the exchange rate might not be favourable. The best rates are found in certain offices around Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží).
There are many ways to see Prague's many historic sights. One of which is the unique method of a running tour. These tours are perfect for fitness orientated individuals who want to experience Prague in a fun and different way. These tours take about 90 minutes and the guides are locals who are fluent in English and well versed in the surroundings. Walking tours are also available, as are cycle tours. Prague has more than 120 km of bike paths to its disposal so there is much to explore on two wheels in the ancient city.
If you prefer a relaxed form of sightseeing in Prague you can read more about the hop on hop off tour here. Follow the link, select sightseeing, Czech Republic,Prague. You can book online.
For a mix of old and modern, learning, relaxing and having fun, Prague must be your destination of choice.

Definitely Dubai.
Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates.
It is a centre of economic and cultural activity in the middle east. Being close to Europe and the rest of the middle east it has grown in popularity as a tourist destination in recent years due to its liberal policies and huge developments in infrastructure.
Make sure not to miss Dubai's white sandy beaches as they are some of the best of their kind in the world.
If you like water sports then these beaches are perfect for you with many different activities being offered such as the banana boat ride and parasailing, with water temperatures ranging between 22°C in winter up to 35°C in summer, you certainly shouldn't be afraid to give these a go.
Dubai is famous for shopping, with the Dubai shopping festival almost every shop has a sale starting in January and ending in February.
One shop that must be visited is The Dubai Mall, which is the biggest mall in the world and in true Dubai nature is located right next to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifah and should also definitely be on every visitor's list.
While one might think of Dubai's natural outdoors as being mostly desert this could not be further from the truth.
Dubai contains awe inspiring waterfalls, cliffs and freshwater lakes.
Although some of these might take a bit of searching to find they are definitely worth the effort to any traveller.
Despite the year round sunny weather Dubai has its own ski centre located in the Mall of the Emirates which maintains -4°C year round and caters to all levels of skier.
If you're into sports you will want to check out one of Dubai's more culturally unique pastimes, camel racing.
Races take place on Thursdays and Fridays during the winter on the Al Wathba Camel Race Track and the Al Maqam Track near Al Ain.
The climate in Dubai is sub tropical with very hot summers averaging 42°C during the day and 28°C at night.
If this sounds too hot for you then Winters in Dubai are a pleasant and mild affair with an average daytime high of 25°C and night-time low of 10°C.
Although Dubai is one of the Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates only 17% of its population are Emirati with the majority (53%) being of Indian descent.
This means that Indian food and culture is very prominent in Dubai society with vegetarian Indian food being available for as little as 10Dhs (€2) per course.
Other foods commonly available in Dubai are Shawarma, which is a type of kebab, and falafel which is a vegetarian option. Although these are the most common options Dubai has a range of restaurants to suit all tastes, from fast food chains such as
KFC and McDonalds to high end hotels, offering the best in Indian, Emirati and other regional cuisine.
So come to Dubai and experience the best the Middle-East has to offer.
